Home Sweet Home

Finally the family has moved in to our new home. I'd love to write "settled in", but we're not quite there yet. I'll post some pictures as soon as I find the box with my camera cords in it! I can't upload new pics without them. I have some cute pics of the kids on their first day of school that will come soon as well:) We're working on getting unpacked, although I know it will take months...maybe years! The kids love the new neighborhood. It's amazing what 3 months in an apartment will do to your appreciation for a house and a yard. In fact, the kids got a new playground that keeps them very busy and me sane. I love all of my neighbors and the kids are making lots of new friends. Landon started 2nd grade at a new school and he really likes it. Oh, so many changes over the past few months! I like to think we're adjusting pretty well considering all the craziness. To be continued...

Fourth of July

The family went to the Waterway to watch the fireworks and play in the fountains. Unfortunately, Lexi was sick and so she stayed with Grandma and Papa. The boys had a great time celebrating Independence Day!

Gone Fishin'

Landon caught his very first fish on the pier near Grandma and Papa's house. He was so excited to reel in the catfish. He was not so excited, however, about releasing it. After hours of begging, reasoning and negotiating, he finally let his little friend go.

Watercolor

The family headed down to Florida last month for an amazing beach vacation. I believe it is on record the most relaxing vacation we have ever had where the kids have been present. Usually we are needing a vacation from our vacation! Watercolor was wonderful and we all enjoyed the beach, bike riding, shopping, eating and just good ol' family time. We are already looking forward to our next trip next June.

Junction

My Dad has a ranch out in Junction, TX where our family loves to get away to as often as we can. Unfortunately it doesn't happen all that often! It is a very long trip for a group like ours, but when we finally get there, it's worth all the time in the world. This year, we attempted to take our Christmas photo out on the land. My Dad did a great job trying to capture our blissfullness! What he got mostly, was a couple of fidgety kids, a squirmy baby and some squinty eyes! Although I think we finally got a few great shots after a looooong photo-shoot. The boys have so much fun playing and pretending they are sheriffs and cowboys. Lexi also enjoyed herself by pushing her new stroller around the porch and riding in the backseat of Papa Mike's old Suburban. We also celebrated my mom's **'th birthday:) We all had a nice time out in the country. It's absolutely beautiful!

Body Armor!

So it turns out that Reagan fractured his arm afterall. They x-rayed again after two weeks and it suddenly appeared. We are in a sling for two more and then the doc thinks he should be all healed up. It's amazing how kids get by perfectly fine with a cast on. After a couple of minutes and after the shock of not being able to bend his arm wore off, it was as if he had had this cast his whole life! He ran, climbed, worked very hard at his Papa's ranch and never missed a beat. I am mostly happy that I no longer have to wrap his arm in a trash bag just to give him a bath! So, all is well in the Land of Laney again:)
